Role: Principal/Lead game designer
Work and responcibilities:
At the project's inception, I was a single game designer on the project working together with the creative director. The whole game architecture and all features concepts/designs were my direct work. As the project scaled I hired a team and transitioned to lead position.

  • Working as a single game designer on an unreleased mobile arcade racing game, Mario Kart-esque
  • Internal consulting and mentoring for other Pixonic projects (mainly Dino Squad)
  • Developing concepts for new projects

  • Fully reworked combat and balance systems
  • Designed AI for asynchronous gameplay mode
  • Designed and implemented several tutorial levels

Note: the game went through a production hell. It had like 3 complete reworks before the release. I worked on the last iteration. Considering all the circumstances I think the team did the best they could, but that wasn't enough.
